CRN: Brian Wheeler of Charlottesville Tomorrow on area elections, Meadowcreek Parkway Interchange

Brian Wheeler of Charlottesville Tomorrow joins Coy Barefoot each week on WINA’s Charlottesville–Right Now to discuss growth and development issues. On this show, an update on elections in Charlottesville and Albemarle County. Candidates’ deadline to file has now expired. Tom Loach has decided against running for Supervisor in the White Hall district, but both Denny King and Kevin Fletcher have qualified to run in the Scottsville district. Charlottesville Tomorrow has a full listing of the candidates here.

Coy and Brian also discuss the latest on the Meadowcreek Parkway, the recent decision by the Albemarle County Board of Supervisors to set aside money for a sustainability study to be facilitated by Advocates for a Sustainable Albemarle Population. The County also wants feedback from the public on its proffer policy. Dave Phillips of the Charlottesville Area Association of Realtors phones in to weigh in with his opinion.
