Candidates for the contested Virginia Senate District 17, (Ned Gallaway (D)) House District 25, (Angela Lynn (D)) and the Albemarle County Commonwealth’s Attorney (Denise Lunsford (D), Tobert Tracci (R)) participated in a forum sponsored by the Senior Statesmen of Virginia.
Delegate Steve Landes (R) and Senator Bryce Reeves (R) both responded that they have scheduling conflicts due to prior commitments and will be unable to attend the forum.
The candidates spoke at the Wednesday, September 9, 2015 meeting of the Senior Statesmen. The meeting was held at the Senior Center in Charlottesville. Following the presentation, questions were taken from the audience. The program was moderated by Bob Gibson, executive director of the Sorensen Institute for Political Leadership.
Ms Lunsfird gives 110% to her job?! Someone should check her attendance/days actually in the office over the past 8 years. Somehow she manages to have time to go to numerous conferences and to take personal vacations without her family. How can you do that and give 110% to your job?!? Her time away from family may not be a job dedication issue and her 110% sounds like quite an exaggeration for such an avid traveler……. Seems like something that can be easily verified.
Position on the death penalty changed over the past 9 years?! Also seems like something that can be easily debunked…..a more accurate statement might be that her position changed Only after she got political heat for not initially seeking it in the Matthews case….
Not to mention her changing reasons for her actions in the Weiner case….a miscarriage of justice. Luckily, she told the media she believes in the first amendment…..when convenient??
And her public posting of a mostly nude photo of herself on her Facebook page for the entire world to see just months after creating her personal photo “victimization” scandal just seems outrageous and pathetic.
All just my opinion of course. I wouldn’t want to be secretly sued into silence!
