The Project for Excellence in Journalism found that, while cable news devoted 93 percent of its broadcast time in the two days following Michael Jackson’s death, only 2 percent of news stories overall addressed the “cap & trade” legislation then being debated by the House of Representatives (see http://tinyurl.com/n7bl2e).
Which will affect the lives of Americans more deeply: Michael Jackson’s passing, or the House passing a major tax and regulatory regime?
