Hobey Bauhan is the president of the Virginia Poultry Federation, and a graduate of the Sorensen Institute Political Leaders Program. He joins Coy Barefoot on WINA’s Charlottesville–Right now to talk about his work and his industry, which employs over 10,000 people in the Commonwealth. Virginia ranks 4th in the nation in turkey production, and 10th in chicken production, and this brings in $832 million. Poultry is our state’s biggest agricultural sector. Bauhan also talks about some of the labor issues currently facing his industry.
