Virginia Secretary of Natural Resources Preston Bryant joins Coy Barefoot on WINA’s Charlottesville–Right Now to give news on Martinsville’s Natural History Museum and the upcoming Environment Virginia conference.
Brian Moran of Alexandria is the chairman of the Democratic Caucus in the House of Delegates. He joins Coy Barefoot on WINA’s Charlottesville–Right Now to discuss what Governor Kaine may do with the transportation bill currently before him. He has until March 26th to amend the legislation, which would borrow up to $2.5 billion to pay for new roads.
“He’s got the opportunity to fix the bill,” says Moran. Moran explains why he thinks money for roads should not come from the general fund.

Drake is the Chairman of Republican Party of Albemarle County, and here he discusses the “Truth in Taxation” Town Hall meeting which occurred Monday night. Haiti is the topic for the March 2007 Charlottesville-Albemarle Democratic Breakfast.Several doctors routinely travel to the island nation to work at the Tovar Clinic in the rural community of Grison-Garde. There’s also an orphanage there, administered by Dr. Ray Ford. Ford’s son Mike spoke about the region, and was followed by Dr. Mike Dickens, a Charlottesville pediatrician who describes the conditions of many of the patients served by the clinic. |
