Today’s topics include the Virginia Standards of Learning, merit pay raises, early education, and charter schools. At the close, Dan offers his advice to parents of students who will be returning to school in a couple of weeks.

8.2.10- Tom Guterbock, the Directer of the Center for Survey Research at the University of Virginia, joins Coy live in studio for an exclusive conversation about the results of a multi-year study of immigration laws in Prince William County, Va– the closest thing Virginia has to laws passed in Arizona.
8.2.10- Bob Holsworth, Founder and President of Virginia Tomorrow, joins Coy live on the Program. Topics for today included how Cuccinelli’s lawsuit against Health Care Reform cleared it’s first hurdle in court today, Immigration, Corey Stewart, Bob McDonnell and the 5th District Election.
8.2.10- Rick Barrack, the Director of Communications for the City of Charlottesville, gave Coy an update on the City. Topics included City Council’s meeting tonight, changes which will will be made to the panhandling ordinance, and several street name changes.
