Fighting “Hidden Hunger” in Central Virginia

More than 650,000 Virginians have sought assistance from a food bank in the last five years, according to a new study from America’s Second Harvest called Hunger in America 2006. Charlottesville is served by the Blue Ridge Area Food Bank Network. Marty White is the agency’s CEO, and he spoke to reporters today about the region’s hunger problems.
