On the November 27 Wake-Up Call, host Rick Moore talks about Agri-tourism in Central Virginia with Maureen Kelley of the Nelson County Dept. of Economic Development; Hunter Smith of Afton Mountain Vineyards; and Mark Thompson of Starr Hill Brewery. With so many historical and recreational reasons to visit our area, why agricultural? How is agri-tourism more than just dollars spent, but also land saved as part of “Go Green” initiatives? And why is local beer so expensive?
