7.29.10- Mark Brown, the new owner of the Charlottesville Ice Park, talks to Coy about his plans for the Park.  He plans to put turf down in the park during the summer and use it for soccer and lacrosse, he also plans to acquire an ABC license for the park and possible host concerts there.

7.19.10- David Swanson,author of Daybreak: Undoing the Imperial Presidency and Forming a More Perfect Union, talks politics with Coy Barefoot. Today’s topics include Perriello’s recent decision not to debate Hurt, government spending, the House vote to increase war funding, the Obama Administration, and the up-coming Congressional elections.

7.19.10- Dede Smith, a representative for the group Citizens for a Sustainable Water Supply Plan, talked with Coy Barefoot about Dredging the Rivanna River.  The latest reports will be announce tomorrow night at City Council.

Host, Rick Moore speaks with Bill Antholis (managing director and senior fellow of the Brookings Institution, and co-author of the book Fast Forward: Ethics and Politics in the Age of Global Warming) about global warming. If this warm weather pattern continues, it can have a negative effect on lifestyles, such as the production of agriculture. Obama has taken necessary steps by establishing the Copenhagen Accord, which has China and India cut back on the greenhouse gases being emitted into the air. Did you know that the people in America are one of the main causes of global warming?!?

7.15.10- Historian Rick Britton joins Coy live on the program.  They continue their countdown of Rick’s 19 Most Important Virginia Civil War Battles.  Today’s focused on number seven, The Battle of Malvern Hill.

7.15.10- Congressman Tom Perriello joins Coy live on the program.  They discuss the clean up efforts in the gulf, the Tea Party, the Unemployment benefits, and other current political issues.

7.14.10- Tyler Magill, long-time veteran DJ at WTJU, fills Coy in on the happenings at the free-form radio station owned by the University of Virginia.  He tells Coy about Monday’s town-hall meeting where it was decided that WTJU would remain eclectic. In addition, Magill gives his vision for changes he would like to implement at WTJU.

7.14.10- Jeff Chidester, of the Miller Center of Public Affairs, joins Coy live in Studio.  He is the co-author of “The Regan Years:At Regan’s Side”.  Multiple presidencies are discussed and several clips of past interviews were played throughout the segment.  Other topics include up-coming events which will take place at the Miller Center.

7.14.10- John Whitehead, CEO and Founder of the Rutherford Institute, chats with Coy about education. Topics include the recent incident with the censoring of the Albemarle HS newspaper, the classroom curriculum, and how public schools are run.

7.14.10- Nicole George, an ACAC Trainer, chats with Coy about the No Limits Running Club.  She gives Coy advice on how to become a better runner.  For more information call the ACAC locations.
