If the City of Cville and the Co of Albemarle share the same water sources then I'm very concerned by the recent decision of the Albemarle County Service Authority to allow County residents to water their trees, shrubs, plants and lawns beginning 10/22/07 especially since a mild temp/wetless winter is predicted. I'd like to know what protection measures are in place for the communities as a whole? My call to the ACSA today yielded a very frustrated Co. department that has received numerous complaints about the lessened restrictions as well as complaints from Co. lawn care/nursery businesses and residents who have spent several $1,000s on their lawns and plantings and don't mind paying a fine for continuing to water despite the earlier restrictions.
