The Bill of Rights lists freedom of speech and certain other rights such as the right not to incriminate in yourself. But the list has gaps which lead to huge disputes about what’s a right, and what isn’t. Is there a right to abortion, assisted suicide, gay marriage? Constitutional scholar Daniel Farber has written a new book which explores these issues called Retained by the People: The Silent Ninth Amendment and the Constitutional Rights Americans Don’t Know They Have.  Farber joins Coy Barefoot on WINA’s Charlottesville–Right Now.
