Alan Brandt is Professor of the History of Medicine at Harvard University, and the author of the Cigarette Century: The Rise, Fall, and Deadly Persistence of the Product that Defined America. He joins Coy Barefoot on WINA’s Charlottesville–Right Now to recount the days when cigarettes were everywhere, including a Camel advertisement in Times Square that blew smoke.
