[...] After months of carefully constructed, monotonously repeated denials that the motivation behind Ballot Question #1 is animus toward the GLBT community, it’s over. Every argument in favor of the amendment has been refuted, the Some Families Foundation has been reduced to transparent attempts to change the subject, amendment patron Bob Marshall has gone off the deep end, and voters are quite understandably suspicious when they are handed “vote yes” propaganda that doesn’t include the text of the amendment they’re being told to vote for (even if it does come with candy). “You know, I thought there must be more to this,” voters told us at Sterlingfest.
Evan Wolfson speaks very clearly and succinctly about people being in committed relationships and equality. I think it is time we all had a little compassion for fellow Virginians, regardless of color, ethnicity, gender, lifestyle, and especially social class.

Heck, we should have more compassion for those stuck in a lower social class than ourselves.

Our legislature has nothing more important to fix?

Instead of working on our broken election and voting system they are making redundant laws to write bigotry into our constitution. I am angry about this.

I'll be doing everything I can to see that Delegate Marshall does not get reelected.

[...] The podcast of the recent gay marriage debate between Del. Bob Marshall and Freedom to Marry’s Evan Wolfson is a thing to behold. Marshall made some absolutely outlandish, often outright fictional claims, which Kenton catalogs and translate. Marshall sure makes Virginia Republicans look stupid. [...]

[...] I finally found the time to listen to the debate between Delegate Bob Marshall and Evan Wolfson (of Freedom to Marry) on the Marshall-Newman amendment, graciously uploaded by the Charlottesville Podcasting Network. I was absolutely floored by some new Bob Marshall gems. Such as…well, I’ll just provide you a table. [...]
