It’s an important enough question, and one that so completely sets the foundation for shows to come, that I wanted to make sure we covered it well. Over the past couple of weeks, we received some comments – and I got a lot of email – that indicated the first conversation was very interesting, but also somewhat technical in nature.
So I called upon Curby Alexander and Dennis Pipes, two Ph.D. students here at the Curry School’s Instructional Technology program, to revisit the question Roger and I grappled with last time: “What is Web2.0?”
We tackle the question by thinking about concepts and tools, and then choose particular tools and discuss whether or not they fit the “Web2.0″ bill.
Along the way, we mention a few points of interest:
- Pew Foundation report;
- an O’Reilly article on Web2.0;
- del.icio.us;
- Mark Hofer;
- YouTube;
- BubbleShare;
- Google Maps;
- Dandelife;
- the Zoho Suite;
- Odeo; and
- Moodle.
