It’s the summer of 2006, but Arin Sime is already running hard for the Virginia Senate seat currently held by Republican Emmett Hanger. Sime recently dropped by WINA’s studios on Rose Hill Drive to talk about his candidacy, and how the Supreme Court’s Kelo v New London decision helped convinced him to run for office.

Charlottesville–Right Now is broadcast live Monday through Friday on NewsRadio 1070 WINA from 4 to 6pm. Best-selling author and historian Coy Barefoot is the host and producer. To participate in the program, you can call 434-977-1070. Coy can be reached at barefoot@wina.com.

One Response to “Charlottesville–Right Now: State Senate candidate Arin Sime”

  1. I was appalled to see a large number of balloons with your campaign insigna. The gentleman driving your vehicle
said they were not being released, but given to children!
And the children are going to keep them safe and on the ground, not releasing any.!!!
Look up the environmental consequences and damage to wildlife caused by releases such as this.
You are running for the senate in Va and we certainly need QUALIFIED people to run. BUT, we need people that consider the possible consequences of their actions.
