Broadcasters who air “indecent” material could soon be fined up to $325,000 per violation if a bill that just passed the Senate becomes law. What effect will this have on television writers and producers? That’s the main question asked in a new podcast called The Censorship Chronicles, hosted by Jonathan Rintels. He’s the executive director of the Center for Creative Voices in Media, a non-profit dedicated to preserving writers’ rights. The interview below is with Steven Bochco, the creator of NYPD Blue, LA Law and Hill Street Blues.
