Have you ever had a problem come up in your work-place because of a generational conflict? For example, have you ever gotten so angry at a younger co-worker because they were seemingly not paying attention while you were trying to pass on a key piece of information? According to Barger Jeutter-Robertson of Solution Consulting, that may have been because people of different generations bring different expectations into the worldplace. Jeutter-Robinson was the luncheon speaker at the Virginia Piedmont Technology Council’s April luncheon, held at the Omni Hotel in Downtown Charlottesville. This 52-minute speech is a quick assessment of the different attributes of the four generations currently doing the work of the nation.

One Response to “VPTC: Generational Mix – Clash, Compromise and Value”

  1. I really really enjoyed listening to this. Completely applicable to my work experience. The funny thing is, many of the strengths for which I’ve been commended in my job by my ‘boomer’ boss turn out to be just typical of my ‘x’ generation! But don’t tell her that. I did forward her and other people in my office the link to this. I wonder if who listens will depend on their generation!
